Tile Adhesive Testing

The use of tile adhesives to fix tiles on floors and walls is becoming increasingly popular in all parts of the country. The quality of a tile adhesive mainly depends on the adhesion strength and maximum open time before laying the tile on the surface. Further, the downward movement of a tile applied to a combed adhesive layer is another major factor affecting the laying of wall tiles.

As a result of the high demand for tile adhesives in India, the SKG Project & Engg. Pvt. Ltd. has begun essential adhesive testing which includes, the shear adhesion strength test, tensile adhesion test, transverse deformation test, open time test, adjustment time test and slip test for ceramic tile adhesives as per following standard test methods.
